For the fourth consecutive year, the Sleeper Bar has been nominated as best pop-up at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards - good luck to the Superfutures team who created it for 2016. And watch this space for news of the 2017 edition …
About the 2016 Bar
Is there such a thing as a shared experience? And do we really need to fit in to a tribe? Superfutures created an interior dialogue for you, the individual, to explore your own sense of belonging. By engaging the five senses, visitors were able to discover which tribe best defines their tastes and sensibilities. Upon entering visitors were presented with four shrine-like environments designed to immerse themselves within a series of sensory experiences on their journey to The Sleeper Bar.
The ‘taste room’, created in collaboration with Studio Appetite, offered a selection of new and exciting flavour combinations to try, while the ‘sight room’ suspended guests in a virtual reality using the latest sensory technology from Chillblast. Sound was visually represented through a 3D holographic projection created by visual artist Tupac Martir, while the ‘touch’ experience had been designed as a place of sanctuary and self reflection, giving guests the opportunity to relax in a womb-like environment.
