The European Hotel Design Awards
Entering a nomination fot the European Hotel Design Awards
A unique event comprising a design-led exhibition, high-level conference and prestigious awards ceremony, The Sleep Event attracts Europe’s leading hotel owners, operators, designers, architects, investors, developers, contractors and consultants as well as those who service and supply the industry.
Hotel investment in Europe is at record levels. Across the continent, around 1,000 new hotels are in the development pipeline. In the UK alone, current investment on new hotels and hotel refurbishment is worth £3 billion. Over 250 new hotels are under development, representing a total of almost 40,000 new guestrooms.
In the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games, London is at the heart of this boom in hotel development, making it the ideal location for an event which attracts the people shaping the industry in this dynamic period of growth.
THE SLEEP EVENT EXHIBITION

• The Sleep Event Exhibition gives suppliers to the hotel industry the opportunity to meet
senior decision makers with serious purchasing power.
• Visitors to the Business Design Centre will experience stand displays, roomsets and
specially created areas from some of the leading names in international hotel design, on
a newly-expanded, beautifully-designed show floor.
THE SLEEP EVENT CONFERENCE
4-5 NOVEMBER 2008, BUSINESS DESIGN CENTRE, LONDON
• Now in its sixth year, The Sleep Event Conference takes place over two days in the
Business Design Centre’s purpose-built conference auditorium alongside the exhibition.
• The conference features a line-up of inspirational speakers from across the hotel
sector delivering a variety of presentations, interviews and panel discussions to provide a
forum for delegates to meet, network and debate with the people shaping the industry.
THE EUROPEAN HOTEL DESIGN AWARDS
6 NOVEMBER 2008 SOFITEL HOTEL HEATHROW
Prompted by the increased popularity of the Awards, which has sold out for the last three years running, and increased attendance from across Europe, this year’s Awards Ceremony has relocated to the new Sofitel London Heathrow Terminal Five.
The Awards recognise the work of architects, designers, and developers across 18 different categories. They are judged by a panel of leading hotel designers, architects, owners, operators and developers, as well as respected journalists, editors and commentators on hotel design.
You can buy tickets for the Awards and register for the conference and exhibition online. Add the quantity of tickets or delegate places you need to the shopping basket, and then proceed to the checkout to complete your purchase.
You can use this website to book accommodation for the night of the European Hotel Design Awards - held at the Sofitel Hotel in Heathrow on 6 November 2008.
