About the Sleepotel design
When prompted, this company immediately thought of leaving planet Earth and how the different surroundings would force them to leave everything that is normal. This concept will encourage the traveller to ‘feel’, as supposed to ‘see’, making the experience particularly special.

About the Sleepotel design
JOI Design will deliver The Organic Trace concept — the next step in the evolution of the lifestyle trend of "bleisure”, the blurring of the lines between work and pleasure.
JOI-Design has developed a prototype that addresses the yin and yang balance of travellers who mix their work with pleasure. JOI’s design of a “wellness island” integrates a bed, desk and soaking tub into one organically shaped unit. This “hypermodern” sinuous sculpture melts two comfort zones into one. The plush bed and jacuzzi tub create a hybrid of wellness and relaxation that is bridged by an arc which forms the desk. The fluidity of its sculptural shape and concept is enhanced by the wave-like flow in the curved walls, space plan and patterned carpet. As a manifestation of the principle of “bleisure”, Organic Trace is stylish, sensual solution to the nomadic
professional’s need to blend hi-tech flexibility with personal wellness.

Shaun Clarkson is one of the UK’s most prolific designers of modern hospitality. Shaun’s early work included the infamous RAW club, Atlantic Bar and Denim. Other early design included experiential work for Absolut vodka and seminal venues for VPMG and  Pop and Jerusalem for The Breakfast Group. These early examples became a blueprint for the modern bar and club culture we know today. As the sector has matured, Shaun Clarkson ID has diversified into restaurant, bar, café and deli design, but all design work manages to retain a touch of glamour.

Designer

About the Sleepotel design
Shaun Clarkson has brought his glamorous approach to the Sleepotel project with a conceptual take on a hotel bedroom. He explains: “ A hotel room should be an inspired escape of comfort and luxury. Not just a home away from home, but better! By integrating all the features you would expect in your hotel, we have distracted the customer away from the hum drum to concentrate on the bigger picture. Our room encapsulates the guest in a gentle mood changing environment. Dark silhouetted back lit screens evoke a feeling of infinity blurring the bounders of the space. The canopied bed appears to be the only feature, but the room is cleverly lit and serviced by subtitled engineered concealed features. Evoke you mood, adjust and enjoy!”

About the Sleepotel design
Tisettanta’s suite is sophisticated, stylish and refined with furnishings characterised by white durmast wood, natural leather, and beige textiles. The pink, clear, diaphanous light that accompanies the withdrawn in the evening at dusk and  the rise in the morning inspires this bedroom, entirely worked out by the bright colours of the oak wood, of the natural hide, of beige and nut-brown fabric and by two colours carpets with big patterns again with the colours of the washed clay. From very bright beige to the brown of the marbles, only one colour with infinite different tones for an extremely relaxing, embracing, “homely” environment, which looks we have already seen, recognized in our own memories. The simplicity, but not banality of the forms as well as the floor inspired by Capogrossi’s paintings resends some how  to the atmospheres of the sixties or the seventies.
