Sleep joined forces with ReardonSmith Architects in 2012 to re-introduce a student award as part of the European Hotel Design Awards 2012. The challenge set for students was intended to be thought-provoking, inspiring and perhaps, one close to their hearts - the design of hotel staff areas.
The competition will be launched once again for 2013 with this year’s brief to create a master-plan for a new luxury hotel and residential marina development on the Southern Adriatic coast.
The competition is open to undergraduates studying a full-time architecture or interior design course at a college in Europe. Entry into these awards are free.

- Your concept will be displayed at the Sleep Event
- A trip to London to attend the European Hotel Design Awards dinner to receive the award in front of 800 influential industry figures, with travel and overnight accommodation provided
