Widely regarded as the world’s pre-eminent hospitality designer, Adam D. Tihany has created hotel and dining interiors at some of the most iconic and luxurious properties around the globe, including Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, The Westin Chosun in Seoul, The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, One & Only Cape Town, Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice, and Four Seasons Resort Dubai DIFC. His sophisticated, often groundbreaking, designs are custom-tailored to fit the vision of the client and stay true to their location. Tihany was also one of the first designers to collaborate with internationally acclaimed chefs, creating signature restaurants for culinary stars such as Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Charlie Palmer, Heston Blumenthal and Wolfgang Puck.
Now setting his sights on the seas, Tihany is bringing his visionary design concepts to the next wave of Holland America and Seabourn vessels, slated for delivery between 2016 and 2018. His contribution to design has been recognized with numerous honors and awards,including induction into the Interior Design Hall of Fame and an Honorary Doctoratefrom the New York School of Interior Design. As a leading expert, Tihany frequently lectures at universities and conferences around the world as a member of Pratt Institute’s Board of Trustees. He has published several books on his work and his latest, Tihany: Iconic Hotel and Restaurant Interiors, was published by Rizzoli spring of 2014.
